At the moment, there are 15 members signed up to attend 2007 Funfest. Sounds to me like we should get together for Dinner on Friday and/or Saturday night.
Can anyone make a suggestion? Maybe something a little further out of Effingham would be easier to book.

I'll check with my brothers or my non German niece, they live close. Shelbyville is the next biggest town they talk about.

Niemerg's Family Restaurant offers very good family style meals. For those who would like to partake of alcoholic beverages before or after dinner they offer a lounge (The Brass Rail).
My wife and I have eaten here many times over the last 10 years for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Here is a link with directions and phone number.Niemerg's
If we would want to have dinner here on Friday night I would be willing to make the arrangements if you like.

I keep forgetting to ask my brothers when I finally get them on the phone...they always tell me Shelbyville is where it's all happening. Mr brothers live 33 miles from Effingham in Tower Hill, which is where I'll be staying.
BTW, If a restaurant is "Larry recommended" it's gotta be good. Larry knows food...
I may get there as early as the weekend prior to Funfest (depends on the spouse) so any extra running around that might need to be done let me know and I'm on it.

Tux,
This sounds good to me.
Would you please contact them and see about having a group of 15-20?
Let us know if they can accommodate us and we'll get the sign-up thread going.
Thanks!

It's a done deal. We have a table reserved in my name (Larry Hadler) for 20 people. Reservation starts at 5:30 and the table is held until 7 when the next party arrives.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Well, I was going to come over Saturday morning, but now you've gone and done it! I guess if I leave work at 4:00, I should be able to get to Effingham by 5:30 with no problem (thank the time change gods!!). Of course, that still all depends on my work schedule...
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

It's not going to be a problem. Ya see, I was surfing e-bay the other day and I picked up a Flux Capacitor!! Now all I need is some Plutonium or a Mr. Fusion, and I'm all set!
