Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
I know September seems a long way off, but Funfest 2009 Registration is now open!  Unfortunately, Mike Yager has decided to charge for registration this year, but prices start as low as $25 for the weekend - still a bargain!  My hotel reservation has been made for a couple of months now.

Different options are available, including special parking and such.  Personally, while I love parking with the C3VR folks, I did sign up for special parking for '74's to celebrate MAM's 35 years in business.  They also will have parking for the 9's (59, 69, 79, etc) cars.

I look forward to seeing all of you there!  Registration prices do go up as of July 15th.

Adam, you can sign me up for the booth NOW!

Are we there yet?!?!?!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Dan, I was in that shot with you.  I'm the one that told you to come to the booth after the shot.

Funfest is going to be bigger and better yet again this year.  The event has grown so much and costs so much to put on that a small charge was added. $25.00 is not much to pay for the quality event you get in return. You also have options if you want to upgrade to participate in other activities. I am so excited about the upcoming Funfest and will be there to help set up again this year and try to get us a great club parking place.
I hope to see you all this year. It will be a blowout. This is also Mikes Birthday celebration as well as the premier Corvette party of the year!!

I agree Scott, I think it's going to be an absolute blast!!  I hear that on some of the other sites (not that I would actually go to any of those myself), there are some nay sayers about the charge.

Personally, I'm glad all of those jack a$$'s are saying they're not going.  They probably don't even wave.

I doubt the $25.00 will cover the T shirt , book , pin  and poster , besides the Saturday night event  and the employees.  There's a butt load of work that goes into putting this thing together. Anyone that wants to see a true miracle happen, just be there two days before and watch it happen .LOL
There's a whole sub culture out there that thinks the world owes them something to begin with.
Do you remember when they used to give away free food coupons? When they stopped that , you would have thought the world ended. It was the same crying because they now had to buy their own food.  I personally am glad to be close enough to be able to attend and am happy to pay a mear 25 bucks to get in. It is a 3 day event, where else can you do anything for 3 days for 25 bucks.
I think it will just keep the "Walmart crowd" at home. If anyone genuinely can not come up with the 25 and wants to go, I am sure we can help them out .... Wink

I am so ready for this years FUNFEST !!!!!

If there is any way possible and you can find a way to go, it would be an awesome site to see a couple hundred C3VR C3's parked in the C3VR club parking area ! Can you imagine any better advertisement for the site?
