Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
We are now home from Effingham, safe and sound. For the eighth straight year, we ran into construction around Terre Haute, but outside of that, no issues to speak of. What amazing weather!! Simply gorgeous from Thursday on. Good times, great people. It was wonderful to see so many friends again. And overall, attendance seemed to be up. We can hardly wait to see everyone again!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Glad you guys made it home safely.  Good to see you and Candi again.  Also good to see and visit with the other C3VR folks that were there.  I got home about 8:30 PM.  Good trip.  Stopped at the farm on the way up up WI.  Looking forward to the next one.

Mike Yager and Mid America did a great job with the "Vets with Vetttes" theme.  "The Wall" was humbling.

I know this is last year's thread, but not many posts on it, so I figured I'd use it to let everyone know I had a great time at my first Mid America Funfest and that I got home Sunday evening at 6PM. No problems on the drive home.

I was happy to see Dick and Jill, Mike and Terry, Bob and Pat, Dan S., Mike from Hot Springs, Vince, Lou and Dean. Also Tux and Lora.

Great meal Friday night with the C3VR friends.
Weather was perfect Thursday, hot Friday and cool Saturday.
The concert Saturday night was OK, but not up to Mike Yager's standards.

I bought a few things, but need to replenish the bank account before making any major purchases.

Marshall and Candi were missed. Hope Candi had a good race in VA.
