I reluctantly make this decision, but Corvette Specialties will not be renewing our sponsorship for next year.

I joined almost four years ago to get information when I was restoring my ’71 roadster.  I never did get my questions answered, but liked the people and discussions.  I have become friends with a number of members through postings, store visits, and phone calls.  We became a sponsor for the 2008 year.

But it takes several thousand dollars of purchases to pay the sponsor fee, plus a return on the time I spend answering questions most days.  And that just hasn’t been there.  We made about $50.00 on the Steeroids, and since we discount everything else for members, it takes more volume from forum members than retail customers to get the same return.  And that volume just hasn’t been there.  With the current state of the Corvette hobby, we need to put our time and money where we get the most return.

I will return to “regular member” status, and will continue to answer questions as time permits.  I would like to thank Adam for the help he has given us, and especially would like to thank all the members who have favored us with their business.

 Larry

Hate to hear this, Larry.Cry
I unnerstand the business aspects, tho. I certainly hope you keep logging in, because you ARE a valuable source of information here, as well as just a good ol feller! I personally haven't purchased ANY Corvette parts for several years, since both of mine are pretty much "finished"(yeah...right), but I will certainly continue to steer folks your way when possible.
Keep coming back when you can!, and THANK YOU for all you've done for us here at C3VR!!

Larry, I'm new here, but sorry to hear this.  My Vette only got to my driveway a few weeks ago, and there hasn't been time to start a list of the pieces I'll need to bring it up to good driver status.  I know of a couple, so I'll email for your prices.   My purchase decisions are always made on a best-price, best-quality basis.  My best to you and your family and business.

Sometimes a tough decision turns out to work in the future when it comes to making ends meet..cuts are everywhere and hopefully things move in a more profitable way for you..I do look foward to see you here still since you actually do this for a living..there is definitely a high amount of credence when you post here.
Thanks Larry..and I will continue to recommend you for all future projects.

Larry,

I'm sorry you won't be continuing as a Supporting Vendor.

I was always happy with the parts and information I received from Corvette Specialties.

I'll look forward to seeing you on C3VR no matter what your status is.

Sad to hear this, Larry. I'm also glad you're sticking around, though. Your insight is much appreciated. I understand about the economic times, these days you hope just to survive.
