Like everyone else - don't care who the vendor is, just as along as good quality and best price. I realize we should promote and use our sponsors, but they may not always be competitive. That "Corvette tax" can be just too much sometimes.

OK  To be fair I wanted to post an update.  Willcox is still in business (I was really wondering there for a moment!)  I finally got my order - and yes - something was on back-order and they had to wait for it, but gee wiz, communicate!

Volume...."stack 'em deep, sell 'em cheap"....
A vendor that buys a lot of parts from another vendor will always get a much better deal than retail. It's their call as to whether they mark the price way up from there, or just enough to make a profit. Sometimes going thru a middleman is good, other times it's a rip-off(price-wise). This is why it pays to shop around.

A hunnert years ago, I ordered a TON of stuff from a Corvette parts vendor who shall remain nameless(Penn-Ohio Corvette). The invoice was quite substantial....not just a couple of $5 parts and t-sherts....it was some serious hardware.
Took OVER 3 months to get the stuff.....Censored Every phone call was met with a "It's on the way", or "It's out of stock, but will be here tomorrow". Every phone # I called went to the same guy, so there was no-one I could complain to. I finally figured this was just some jackass workin out of his garage or something.....and ordering MY parts from other vendors. Instead of having the stuff drop-shipped, he was waiting until he got the stuff, and then sending it out. Problem is....he apparently had to pay for the stuff before they would ship it....and perhaps he dint have no money/credit.
Never again did I order any parts from a business I dint had info on.

I won't buy anything from someone who won't answer the phone.  I don't care how much they sponsor this place.

I just received this in an email today (5/11/13)...

Norm is still off on a family medical leave and while we do expect him to return, this date keeps being pushed backwards.

Unfortunately this has really put us all under some strain and your patience is greatly appreciated.  We have been interviewing people to fill his void (which will be impossible), and when he returns he will be welcome with open arms.

Beat me to it! I was going to post the same email, however, if you don't subscribe to their email you would never know!  OK  I'll drop it now!

I ordered a bunch of parts for my parking brake system a few weeks ago.  For the majority, I used Bairs like I usually do, but for some others I went to Willcox.  The Bairs parts came two days later (typical) and the Willcox stuff was about a week after that.  Shoulda just done the whole order from Bairs.
