I just read all about this. They mentioned that there wasn't a dry eye anywhere
. My condolences to his family and all of his friends

What a shame, he had 2 little kids, and was such a great driver, he had a real future ahead of him.

I know they say that the drivers know the chances they are taking, but it's still a real shock and tragedy when something horrible like that happens. We can only pray for him and his friends and family.

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
There have been a lot of "day after" experts saying this and saying that about the causes of the wreck. Bottom line is - wrecks are going to happen. Driver safety has increased tremendously in recent generations of race cars, regardless of venue. Still, any loss of life is a sad thing. A loss not only to his family but to the whole racing community.
It just goes to show how fragile our existence is. My condolences to his family and may GOD watch over them.

What a shame. I watch very few races but, the Indy 500 is on every year at my house. He was a
real class act and a true pro. Very sad.

He was not only a great driver, but a close friend to many. He leaves behind a lot of broken hearts.
RIP Dan
