Vette(s): 73 Conv, Blue-Green/White Top - 454, M21 - Dark Saddle Leather, Power Windows, A/C, Tilt/Tele, AM/FM St. (orig. and sounds like it too).#2 -- 2007 Coupe,3 LT package, Z51 option, Victory Red, Ebony Int. Clear Top.
I am looking at an rebuilt engine (diesel) for my Sailboat, and a place called "Schooner Bay Marina" has one. It's a Yanmar if that makes any difference.
My question is if anyone knows anything about this Marina, as far as reputation. I'm a long way from there and I hate to waste a trip out there and his price is good at $3,700..
I would appreciate any info...

TIA
Ray

I'm about 4 hours drive away from Bayfield.  Sorry I don't know anything about the marina or know anyone who sails in that area.

Thanks Jim... maybe someone a little closer will pop up...  I may just fly up to Mn St.P.. flights are pretty reasonable there... still be couple hundred mile drive tho...
Jim.. beside Min St. Paul... do you know what would be a major airport close to Bayfield?

It would be a bit longer drive but you could fly into either Milwaukee, WI. or Madison, WI.  Both of those might be a little more spendy ticket though.

The shortest drive to Bayfield would be from Duluth, MN.  But again the ticket would probably be a bit more than flying into MSP.

The trade-off would be a more spendy ticket with a shorter drive versus a less-spendy ticket and a longer drive.

MSP is a major hub for NWA and other airlines.  Milwaukee is becoming more of a minor hub as airlines are trying to by-pass Chicago some.  Madison is a hop on runs btween MSP and Chicago.

Not too much this year!  We're about 2 feet behind average in snowfall so far this season.

Let me know if there is anything I can help with on this end.
