Over a year and a half after starting to rework "BIGBRRD" it is back in BLACK again...!!! Take a peek! The pics don't do justice to the way it really looks. And it will look even better after the color sand and buff is done!
3 coats of black and 3 double coats of clear went on this week. Today was the first time I've seen the car all one color in over a year. Hood, trunk, spoiler, flares and misc little parts still need to be squirted but the bulk of the car is done. Wayne spent yesterday and today sanding down sags in the clear and then he'll let it sit for a week (while he is out of town) before starting the color sand & buffing process. Then it will sit for another several weeks before putting the graphics on.Hope to bring it home late April/early May and then start putting the interior back in. The plan is to have it ready for the CarCraft Summer Nats in mid-July (this year) over in St. Paul. Whoo-hoo...!!!

Nice work, Jim...
I've owned two screaming chickens over the years. A 78, and my favorite...an 81 turbo T/A Indy Pace Car.
I can kick myself in the dupa for getting rid of that one.
Can't wait to see yours all finished. Good luck.

Looks good Jim! The longer you can let it sit the better it will be before sticking on the decals.
I sures feels good doesn't it when the paint goes on? The contrast from before primer to after the 1st round of clear is pure kid in the candy store excitment!
Looking good my friend!!!
