Should have just gone to work and let someone else get that deal. Been looking for a late model GMC or Chev 4 dr dually so I answered an ad on craigslist for an 02 GMC 8.1 with 51k. Ad says perfect truck all around. 6 new tires, clean title, very well cared for, never hit. He loves it but a business change forces sale. Good price, so I call. He claims truck is mint and runs perfect. Any paint work? I ask. No never. Just a little scuff on one rear fender, but he's getting it fixed because it bothers him. Knowing the back fenders are plastic on dually's, I ask if it's cracked. Oh no, just a little scuff.
My buddy and I drive 2 1/2 hours down to Mass. only to wait at the exit another 1/2 hr cause he's late. Finally follow him to his house, pull in the driveway and we both knew right off our day was wasted. Where do I begin.

I'm not making any of this up or exzagerating at all. This was unbeliveable. After telling him his truck was a piece of s

At least we got to stop at Wild Willy's in York for a Gooood burger.

I usually say a bad day of ________ is better than a good day at work, but in this case, you are right, you should have just gone to work.
That guy sucks a big one. Can you put comments on Craigslist? He deserves some negative comments.

So what did the guy have to say for himself?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

He claimed his father wrote out the ad and that he's young and his father is helping him out with a used car business and he has a lot to learn. He wrote the ad and his father is not doing him any favors. He's setting him up for failure. Also, the father was no where to be seen, of course.

OH Man ! What a nightmare. You must admit, he sure fits your stereotypical used car salesman. Completely without conscience.
