Thanks for all of the positive thoughts.
I've been flying off and on since the late 70s.
I met a guy that was just finishing up his commercial and got the bug. We did a lot of
flying the 2.5 years I was stationed at Luke AFB west of Phoenix. But, two striper pay
was pretty slim then and I had school loans to pay off. I made sure to call him first thing.
I finished the private 8 years ago and have been fortunate to be able to continue to this point.
I took the test in a Cessna R182 - High Performance - Complex to meet the requirements.
Most of my time has been in C-172s and lately Vans RV-10 and RV-6. I have just a smidgen of
time in a DC-3 and a Beech 18.
I don't think I'll be getting to San Diego or Wisconsin this year. We will see what the
new job holds. I need to complete CFI-I Instrument but, that is a much more limited
scope to prepare. My instrument and commercial instructor and I would get out and fly
anytime we could including IMC. Living on Cape Cod there were plenty of low ceiling days
where we had the place to ourselfs and the pros.
Baby continues to run well and we have not had rain in a while so she stays dusty but clean.
I made sure to renew the AAA. Thanks again for the good wishes.
All the Best.
Keith
