Hate to say that, but not entirely true.
Petro has existed for quite a while now. They have sold Citgo gas in the past, but are currently phasing it out. They have their own refineries and Petro is one of the most respectable gas cie in Canada (where they're from). They are also the only one selling gas with octane higher than 91, so this is the only place I can fill my Vette.
Us oil import ? Over 60% in 2005. http://www.gravmag.com/oil.html

Figures a Kennedy (Joe Kennedy) would be snuggling up to a dictator in the guise of "helping" poorer Americans. This is a guy who has never had to work for anything in his life, never knowing what it takes to sacrifice to make things better telling us it's in our best interest to kiss Hugo Chavez' rear end.
Lenin had it right when he referred to people like Kennedy as "useful idiots".

Thanks, 74-454! When in doubt, go to Snopes.com to check out the rumors!
I, for one, will boycott all of the Commies and crazies, but you gotta prove to me that they are first.

Apparently Petro Express no longer sells CITCO gas (as of 2007). Hope it is because of public pressure. You know it isn't patriotism.
For you guys that only buy ONE BRAND of gas, let me find the thread and/or article that encourages you to swap out gas brands every 6 months (methinks). Even back and forth between two brands. Supossedly, the idea is to clean out the deposits left by branded additives. Sounds OK to me, but then, I haven't run it through Snopes.

Happy motoring. The sundevil

I just joined a few days ago and this is my first post. Just wanted to say that I'm with you guys 100% on this one. I rather pay more then buy from someone who would prefer to see us dead. If the politicans would see it that way maybe someday we could be much less dependent on foreign oil.

Here's the link I mentioned a couple of posts earlier.
The article talks about switching brands every 5000 miles or so to keep your motor healthy. Makes sense to me. As long as it isn't CITGO.

Enjoy!

All Unleaded fuel is the same, BUT the additive is what makes it better or different - such as Chevron's Techron. Chevron

AZ Phil -- Enlighten us as to why we shouldn't use BP gas? BP is a mainstay and major player in this part of the country. What do you know that we don't???
PS As you can tell from my screen name, I spent more than a little time in your 'hood. Wish I was there now instead of braving the cold! Cheers!
Hi folks, 74-454 is partially correct, both circle K and petro express are privately owned. Circle K is property of Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard. Petro Express is based in North Carolina. Both sell Citgo gas but say they are phasing out sales of Citgo gas. Please continue to boycott these stores if possible to be sure this gets done. Screw Chavez. Gene
