Hey Ya'll, Iam going to buy a 383 stroker motor 425 horse. Where have you had the best luck buying crate engines. This is not for my vette its for my 31 street rod. Iam looking at summit and jegs. Also a place in New Jersey that builds motors but can't think of there name right now. Thanks for your help. Frank

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.

My local shops tell me that they prefer to install official GM crates, and while Jegs posts some pretty competitive pricing, you can usually find a local distributer to beat there price, but seldom for more than the cost of shipping.
