Wow...you guys do a LOT of drivin!!
My '74 rolled over 47,000 on the way to PF!!
One of my old Caddies(79 Coupe D-Evil) ran 200 thou before the engine dumped.
My 'Burban went 100,224 before I finally put an engine in it.
Mama's '94 SLS rolled over 100 thou on the way back from PF, but it has a fresh NorthStar in it, anyway!
The '85 'Vette has 87,000, and the Mercedes has 175,000...both still kickin hard!
Ya'll need to get out and walk some!!!

Yeah, out here in the sticks were we live, its almost 20 miles to the closest grocery store and just over 6 miles to the nearest gas station.  Racking up over 300 miles a week just to go into work isn't uncommon, and when you include all the other trips we do, it adds up really fast.  Hopefully fuel prices will come down, or they will build some shopping a lot closer.

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
Just turned it over on the way home from getting a new battery, fixing a transmission leak and replacing a shorted out connector. It was an expensive day, but now she runs like a Swiss watch.

This is what they look like when they roll off the assembly line.

Already got 40 miles on her now. Maybe I'll put her in mothballs now.

NOT!!!

Vette(s): Previous: 1984 Silver / Charcoal Coupe, 1988 Maroon Coupe / 1989 Artic White Coupe / 2001 Speedway White Roadster / Present:1976 Stingray Black / Black, Auto, 350 slightly modified (355 hp) Luxor Wires Redline Tires. / 1989 Roadster Bright Red...
I know a fellow who is a friend of my dads who has been driven a 55 chevy every day to work since he bought it new in 55. He drives about 125 miles a day in it. It has been through 4 motors, 2 trannies, & 3 rear ends. Not to mention the "little" stuff and the rebuilds on the original stuff.
She ain't much on the blue paint anymore but she is like the ever-ready bunny. (just keeps a tickin)
I looked inside her once and Floyd was practically riden in the floorboard. I asked him about it and he grinned and said it all happens so gradual that ya kinda get used to it.
He laughed and told me him and the car were alot alike... they both were young and fresh once but them days had come and gone. After all these years now it just seems natural to see it through to the end.

Vette(s): 1981 all original unrestored C3.

Hey jgoglick,

I had a 92 accord that was way over 278,000 when I gave it to my nephew 3 years ago....now it is over 300,000 and still running.... I had the belt replaced every 100,000 miles, and not many major repairs.......Then on the other hand my Vette has only 49,000 miles, my 2000 4runner  has 59,000, amazing how many miles traveled!
