Thanks Cool

Well...it's like this...once you've been in one, and made a strong pass down the track, you just cain't get enough of it anymore. Much like fighter pilots and such, the rush is just too incredible to wanna stop...even if ya hit the wall a few times @200mph!
The acceleration is phenomenal....and addictive.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
That is a woppie alright. Only thing that I know of that can match that is 300 feet long and goes from Zero to between 240 and 280 mph in 2 seconds or so.

Any carrier pilots out there in corvette land?

I got a chance to take a cat shot and landing once on a Navy aircraft carrier 0-240mph in 2secs (about 300 feet).  Landing was not quite as bad because you come in slower and I was sitting back words so and just pressed against the seat.

Your story puts some prospective on why the cockpit of a dragster is so from fitting.  The G force is incredibly debilitating if you are not strapped in tight.

I know there are a few jet pilots in the group that know firsthand about what G forces can do and how hard it is to fight against them.

That dragster story is unbelievable.  I had no comprehension.
