Any of you ole timers remember Liquid Aluminum in the tube? Well I can't find any. Do they still make? Checked at my local hardware stores and on the internet. No luck..
I need to fill a couple of screw holes in a piece of aluminum. I then want to sand it down and then buff it out to a shine.
Not on the vette, but on another car.
Thought about just making my own... by filling some scrap aluminum and saving the shavings and adding some white glue to it. Should work?
Any other ideas... thanks, steve

Thanks Larry for the leads. I see its all kinda pricey. I also found Permatex makes a liquid solder and a liquid metal filler.
I can remember when I was a kid, boonie bouncing in a 48 Dodge. Ran over a large rock and punched a hole in the oil pan. Hitched a ride back home and got either some liquid alum. or liquid steel and oil. Went back out and cleaned the hole real good and patched it. Added the oil and drove home. Kept that car for another 10 years and it never did leak...
Guess its not that common any more. You could find it anywhere. Real common stuff. Always had a tube of it around..
Anyway....apprec...
