Well today, one of the hottest days of the year
I decided to do a little clean-up on the Pacers engine compartment. I replaced both Hood Latches with new ones, and replaced the Emissions and Air Cleaner Decals. I also cleaned up as much of the dirt and grim that I could get to
Heres some before and after shots.

I was a little nervous about closing the hood for the first time, but it actually opens and closes easier now
The hardest part was pulling out and putting back in 30 year old cotter pins, I didn't have new ones to use. Oh ya, I also replaced the rusted and dead Master Cylinder about two weeks ago.

Looks Great, time well spent

Looks Good Mark.
Can you come over and do my engine and bay? It's really dirty with bad road grime and oil. Especially underneath.

Oh no no no, I've had those new latches for almost two years, that should tell you how long it takes me to get to things

Looks very good. I have been putting off painting the wiper area on my Vette. I did pick up some heat shield insulation material to put on the inside of the hood. I will need to make a pattern out of cardboard first before I can do that project.
