HOW'S THIS FOR AN EXPENSIVE BOYS TOY?
This is one absolutely amazing remote controlled [RC] model airplane. Not only did they build its jet engines, but included a retractable landing gear, and built it into a fully scaled model of the SR-71 "Blackbird" that flies just like the real McCoy. This SR-71 model was built by an Engineer / RC enthusiast in Germany, and is certainly one awesome toy.

Click here to watch and listen to it soar…… the landing is amazing, too.

That's a great clip!  The jet sounds just like the real ones overflying the Rose Parade every year (they practice run every year over my house for a couple days.)  Thanks for posting it.  There are some more model jet clips that come up when this one finishes.

Very kewl!

I worked on the drive shafts for the SR71, that is / was one wicked bad bird!
We tried to figured out how many they had flying by the amount of returns.
The shafts were overhauled every 1200 hours. Made out of titanium......and they make a pretty good looking lamp......Shocked

Thanks for posting. I love that stuff. After Corvettes R/c planes are my 2nd interest.
