It's a beautiful car, and you've done a great job. I'm sure you'll have fun with it, just don't make the two red corvettes jealous!!

It's back in place...!!!  Took the motor over to the body shop Monday night and dropped it in.  Had to pull the headers off as there wasn't enough clearance to drop it in with them bolted in place.  Reattaching them was fun - sure glad the front of the car wasn't in the way.  Can't imagine doing that with all of the accessories on the engine and the front end body parts on the car...!!!

Anyone hear a loud rumble and then a couple of knuckleheads whoopin' an' a-hollarin' around 6 o'clock last night...???

Fired up "BIGBBRD" for the first time in nearly a year and a half.  The headers in the pictures above had to be replaced with shortys for clearance reasons and they aren't hooked up to the pipes yet so the rumble was pretty loud.  Sure sounded sweet though...!!!

The frontend is back on the car and it is mostly in primer gray at the moment.  Hopefully (fingers/toes/etc crossed) paint will be going on soon.  Lots of little things yet to do but another milestone made in the project.

Congratulations on a monumental milestone. It looks great. Nothing like firing a new engine up for the first time. Sends chills up my spine. Have fun!
