I just heard on the news this morning that gas prices in our area are up another nickel this week. The DJ said we are getting hosed.
I was in NJ yesterday and could have paid $2.55 for regular, but I treated the Vette to 93 octane at $2.85/gal.
Back in NY it's $3.03 for reqular.
I can't believe it is all taxes.
What is going on here?

Sounds to me like NJ gas is cheaper than FL gas.

It's your stock holders at work. Oil company profits were up Billions in the last 12 months. If you owned enough stock the price of gas wouldn't matter to you, unfortunately it does to me and you.

It's not bad yet. Wait till they kick the prices up because oil is over $90. a barrel now. At this rate, we'll have to take out 2nd mortgages just to drive to Hot Springs.

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
Wall Street is talking $100 barrel Oil. Wonder what gas will be then? Gas and Heating Oil is $3 a gallon here.
I still see lots of big trucks on the road, seems like the American public has just taken it in stride and adjusted the monthly
budget to pay for gas.

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
NJ is also the last full service state. so we have the cheapest gas and you don't have to do it yourself either.
i used to be a manager of a gas station for several years. It isn't the individual stations that are hurting you. they need to make a profit off the fuel they buy at the "rack" which is where all fuel trucks go initially to load up for the stations they supply. it all comes down to the major oil companies setting the prices on the gas and then the companies having their own profit margins at the pump to stay in business.

it is $2.51 for regular over here by me
It`s 2.86 for reg in my town, I`m not taking it in stride either, I have put my gass guzzling Silverado up for sale. And the vette will go in a trailer for long events.
break out the Harley at 40mpg, the weather turned perfect for it down here.
