The economy here has been teetering for quite some time, before Bush, before Clinton. Wer have been heading here for quite some time. You saw in a post above that someones Honda Civic is saving the day for his family. I don't blame him at all, but the $$ that he paid for that car, even though it pays some US salaries, made here or not, the profits go overseas, bringing down our overall economy.

 

The speculators are using gas prices to make money. They were using the interest in the housing market, but they bled that one dry. One of the other major problems we have is credit, and its misuse. We should buy houses on credit to live in. We should buy cars on credit to drive. Toys or investments SHOULD NEVER be financed FOR ANY REASON. If you don't have the money to spend on a toy or investment DON"T BUY IT. You can live without it. Save to $$ until you have enough to buy the toys you want (even Vettes).

 

Fiscal responsilibity starts at home, we should MAKE our leaders follow OUR example by being responsible ourselves, and hold them accountable when they don't follow our lead.
