I knew that GAS PRICES were high. After reading this article I felt much better.
Currently in my little BURG of the world gas is currently $3.75.
Watching the politicians bicker about repealing the gas tax is a joke. Two of them say lets do it. One says go after gas and energy reform. Newsflash.... do both! Immediate help would be great. Long term help is a necesscity.
It ain't rocket science folks... in the werds of another great known Larry "Larry The Cable Guy".... Get R Done!

Gas prices will not stabilize or come down untill the Fed stops printing so much NEW money! Even the President of OPEC said this week, that the problem with oil prices is the problem with the falling value of the US dollar!
I fear that we will have bigger trouble coming for our country in the future, if our politicians don't get fiscal control of spending and stop the printing so much new money.
Even though they really don't have to print money much anymore because most new money created is electronic. There is less than 7% of all US currency that is in paper form.
Currently the Fed is increasing the money supply at the rate of 17% a year. At that rate, the number of dollars in circulation will double in 5 to 6 years. Scary, HUH? All of our money's value will cut in half or more that quickly!
Since I ruined your day, have a great weekend!

Gas in my town is 4.00 at one station and 4.15 at the other, both for regular.
Gas at the big city- Klamath Falls, OR, 21 miles away is 3.64.
I have heard gas would come down if we would conserve and all vehicles would average 30-35 mpg. This would lower demand.
I have noticed a lot of people are very wasteful. For example, My neighbor across the street drives 2 blocks to work everyday, and drives home for lunch. Nobody seems to like to walk anymore.
Another thing, why is Diesel more than Gas? It is usually the other way around. Diesel in Klamath Falls is 4.21. I feel sorry for all the guys with their big ole diesel pickups and the truck drivers.

I think us Okie's and Texans have it a little better than most states as far as the price goes, but it cost me $78.00 to fill up the Chevy pick-up. Ouch.

It's $3.44/gal for regular here in Wichita. Sounds like that is a little better than some other parts of the country. That still doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I used a discount card from my grocery store yesterday and saved $.10, so when I filled up the Vette, it was only $3.84/gallon (premium). Looks like it's down another $.10 today.
My wife's and my trip later this month in the Vette is really starting to look expensive...
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
