Vette(s): 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Coupe --------------------- Sold 1974 T-top, 4 spd to BillKS

History which I did not know.  I know this is not necessarily a Ford friendly site, but I thought this was interesting.

Interesting video on Ford's early racing exposure

Great auto racing story!

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Ford was one of a kind that is for sure.

Lead the nation in lots of ways.  He changed the way manufacturing was done and led in civil rights which is not well known.  He paid his Black workers the same wages as he paid White workers which was unheard of and considered foolish.  He also set up the first childcare program for his workers and helped with schooling in the community.

He also was most likely responsible for the killing of a couple of strikers (never proven in court).  When he found out what his gang of thugs had done, he stopped them and settled with the strikers giving them better wages than they were asking.
