Just wondering how much local places/chains in your respective areas charge for their oil change service?  In addition to the detailing I've been doing, some of my friends have been asking me to do this for them.  I haven't charged anybody so far... just wondering what the service might be worth?  Most of the chain places I've looked at so far don't advertise a price, surprisingly.

I've had filters and drain plugs left loose, wrong stuff in wrong holes, charged for crap I didn't order or get and other probs so I always do my own.  It gives me a good chance to look under each of the 4 vehicles every 3k miles.  And the used oil, filtered, can be used in my 1949 Allis Chalmers hydraulicsThumbs%20Up

Stephen, look in your local newspaper(s)...they normally have ads in them for the Quick-Goob places. They should also have what they charge.
The places around here, on top of more than likely screwing something up, will vacuum the inside, clean the winders, check ALL fluids, and fill, check air in the tires, check the wiper blades, etc. Anything they can to get that $12 coupon up to $50!
I LIKE the Jiffy-Goob places! It's GOOD for MY business once they screw something up(and they do...consistently!)!!

With all my detailing packages, I also check fluids (oil, trans, and washer)and air pressure with no extra charge, so I guess this is a natural extension of things.  My neighbor even asked me to do the brakes on his Jeep last service  Big%20smile
