For those of you fellow soldiers that were in Veitnam, the day has come that the last three Huey's on actve duty will retire
. On 18 Aug they will fly the last mission. I'm an instructor at Ft Hood with the 21st Air Cavelry Brigade and we have the last three birds on active duty. Augest 18th we will be offering rides to all former veitnam air crews first and then other vets that would like a chance to fly in one for the last time.

I tried to up load the flyer but it seems it is to big for the site any sugestions?

Is there a web site for it? If so then put up the link to that site.
I didn't know there were any still in service! I'd love to go up in one but I'm nowhere near there. I'll have to pass this on to a buddy of mine, he was a gunner in Nam.
Thanks for the info,
Dave

I put the flyer on the facebook site for C3vr.
Fred, now the upgraded version with the larger dual engines will still be around correct?
ebo
We build the power transmission shafts for the H-1 Huey and Cobra designs.
I had the opportunity to go work on a few of them in Pax River.

I believe the Air Force will still use the upgraded huey, the Army bought the Lakota's off the shelf which can't do half the job of the UH1.
