One thing ya'll need to watch out for is previous "performance upgrades" on these late model cars. Not all work out well, and some actually render the car useless, until someone with some intelligence sorts it out($$$). It's easy to bolt on a bunch of stuff that promises 25-50hp for each part...it's hard to make it all work together and not wind up with less than what it started with. Also, most of the cars with all this stuff on em have been rode hard and put up wet. Not saying that any car with mods is gonna be a heartache/money pit, but just watch out, bubba is everywhere.

Hang in there Mark(and you too, Karen!)...you'll be a member of the "Two or More" club afore ya know it! Adams' Apple2008-06-09 21:04:24

Thanks for the advise brudda Thumbs%20Up  I am very leary of a Vette that have had mods made to them, it's a sign to me that someone has been hot-rodding the thing somewhere down the road.  I'd really perfer a completely stock C5, which I will find.  Micki can you believe I said that, it's not for me, it's for Pam Wink

Does anyone (Joel?) know what year they started putting onStar in Vettes?

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
My Corvette Black Book only goes to 1998, but there is no sign of On Star or HUD for '97 or '98.
Who has a current Black Book?

Check out the C5 section of that other forum and you'll see how they big craze is adding mods to their cars. I agree that you should look for a stock example. When my time comes, I'll probably try to get one coming off a lease.
