I just heard General Motors will stop making the Hummer.
And I was wondering if they will become collectible in years to come?
What do you think?
Anybody own a Hummer?

2006 H3, 5 CYL, 20 mpg and goes anywhere. I bought it for myself but the wife has adopted it, now I get the 86 Bronco II. Funny how things work. 767REP 2008-06-03 10:00:05

Steve...the title for this thread is SOOOO mis-leading.....I'm disappointed now....
I had high hopes for something else....
Don't own one, but do a lot of front diff work on them...mostly H2s
I wouldn't mind having one of the originals, tho...the real ones...

I thought this was posted wrong and should have been in the "anything goes" section.
It might take some time before they are collectible and it will be the first ones that are original not pimped out.

P.S. It should have been "Last chance to BUY a GM Hummer" not get a Hummer.

You guys tear me up..... I wonder where that word came from? Hmmmmm.?
Why did they call it a Hummer anyway? The truck that is. Anybody know?
PS...sorry if I offended anybody...
Seriously, do think the Hummer will be collectable ?
It is a very unusual automobile.
In the years to come, will people be saying "shoulda bought a Hummer" ?
THANKS...

Hummer is military slang for HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle)

If your talking about a GM HUMMER, then me. I've driven, rode in, rode on, slept in, ate off of, too many HUMMER's in my time. Of course mine rode much nicer then the ones GM is selling
