Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
We have never gotten better just more safety stuff which is good as you can bet that most if not all of those pictures ended in death.

Here's a video of some not so massive Corvette crashes that still hurt to watch....thoughts on causes....stupidity mostly I guess but seeing the video makes you think about how easy you can get in trouble and how fast it happens.  Ouch

I call that horsepower........balls.......(and) lack of brain power............I'm guilty of that!!! One time after a National Guard meeting, the guys wanted to see what my 427 Vette would do. I wound out first power shifted into second and broke every which way accross a four lane road. All I saw was telephone poles from one side to the other. Luckily on coming traffic was held up by a red light. I didn't damage my car. I went home and put my slicks on and never drove again without them. Another time at the drag strip, they wanted pictures of me lifting the front wheels. I came off really hard and was going sideways toward the flagman and wouldn't let off...........he ran.... After that he always gave me the bad eye when I lined up and shook his hand at me.....not to try that again. I love Corvettes...........loaded with horsepowerWink!   Thanks for the video!

I think ALL of them are stupidity (and turning off traction control)!

P.S. Usually when you try to show off you only wind up making a fool of yourself!
