So what do you think of these Michelin tires?
Somehow I can't seem to picture them on my Stingray. Maybe I'm just too old fashioned..... But then again I have a little trouble imagining a really good burnout with these babies on......

As the article points out - could be trouble in snow and mud - Then again our ladies hardly ever get "exposed"
I agree - I can't see them holding up to a burn -out - I wounder how cornering would be?

I've been seeing these things for a couple of years now....ever wonder why they haven't actually put them into production? Hmmm....
They may wind up as useful space-saver spares, but other than that, and show car dooty, I see no real world applications for them...

Shucks ah thank theyd be great in da front yard wit all differnt kinda purty flowerz planted in all dem dividerz...

Yep, this design has been around for several years. They were first called the Tweel. I can't help but think there are some drawbacks, or they would be out already.
There are very great advantages, no doubt. I have seen films of them in action. The bumps factor is great, really smooths things out. But handling is odd looking. They really bend over quite a lot. I would think handling would not serve very well. But I didn't drive them, just looked at the video.
