I think they have to be designed like that because the are carring BOB....... (bombs on board). How would you like to be tooling down the road when one of those air cylinders ruptures for some reason. I think "Til Death Do Us Part" might become an unexpected reality at that moment.

I was thinking the same thing. They should have a plate covering the tanks to protect them from road debris.
