Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.
I am working on my Mazda6. Having problems with master cyl and bleeding.

I have replaced pads2x without any problems.  Last week the rear caliper froze up. So I replaced both calp, both rotors, pads and axe hubs, then I could not get it to bleed to a hard pedal.

Replaced 2 m/c both were bad out of the box. #3 bench bled ok but can not get a hard pedal again.

Checked all ines for leaks and and even redid the bench bleed procedure, still no go.

Any ideas on this one??    Thanks  Denny

Sold - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
I'll ask the obvious - are you following the correct bleeding procedure for the car?  The sequence could be different from other vehicles for many reasons.

You'll prolly need a compatible scan tool to bleed them. The ABS module needs to be activated to purge the lines, and there is no way to do that without the proper scan tool.....Unhappy

Find the ABS relay in the fuse box under the hood and jump it..do that on Honda's and Mazda's all the time..I'll bug one of the Mazda guys in the morning when I get to work..should be easy on the old systems like this.

Well I had it towed to a shop to bleed the brakes.  Still no good, he says the M/C is bad.  I just put this unit in a day ago.   70.00 and not driveable.

I ordered another new not reman M/C and will put it in on Tues.   Quality control is not what it used to be. This will be #4.
