Make sure your ceiling is tall enough for a car...with the shop door open...may sound stoopid, but I've seen guys so happy about having the lift, they'll pull their car up on it, and run it right thru the roof!
Actually, the idjits at the shop do it all the time with the big box-vans, and bucket trucks...ain't an overhead door in the place that ain't been mashed...

Its a Ben-Pak and we got it from a distributer hear on the west coast. The cieling is 12' plus witch should be enough room, I hope. It should have instructions that came with it , haven't opened it up yet. I'll let you all know !..... ps. what happened to '71 shark ?
He's exaggeratin'. We were doing half shafts this week and roll the car back and forth on the lift to get to the strap bolts and put a "small" scratch on fireboss' 75 from one of the speakers hanging from the ceiling(15" Cerwin Vega's - mama won't let me have them in the house anymore). Height is an issue though. I can take the vette to the top of the lift(72") but not the Blazer or anything like it. I just put those high enough to use roller seats. Almost as easy as walking around under one.
