great purchase dan. know you will love working under car now. i got a scissor lift as i only have an 8 ft. ceiling. besides the vette it is the best purchase i ever made. raises the car to about 1" from ceiling (and yes joel i remember to shut my door). take my mechanics chair and roll around under it and it makes jobs so much easier. good luck with it .

I have a 4 post in the center bay of a 3 car garage and the garage has a cathedral ceiling.  Lift goes all the way to the top so a person just under 6' can walk under it without ducking.  It is an outstanding throphy stand and you can get a bunch of work done without doing anything on you back.  Good thing because when you get an old man down, it sometimes takes a come-along to stand back up.

Be careful about parking an old car on a two post lift for a long time.  The engine is heavy and the frame will flex over time.  You will notice it at the top and front of the doors.  Two posts are better for working, four posts are better for parking.
