you might notice the flexing when you lift up to work on. my scissor jack basically lifts car the same way and when it's up and i open door can't shut it tight until i lower it. i never leave the car raised. when i am done working on it for the day i always lower it.

 Let me ask you guy this. to lift the car, I plan on using the same lift points that the GM manual suggests,  on the frame , behind the front wheels, and in front of the rear wheels.   Thats not going to change is it?

that's where i set my lift pads to and have not had any problems. i might be overly cautious but it's me under the car so whenever i raise the car i lift it a couple feet off the ground and test for stability and then when it's all the way up i test again. even though i have had the lift for awhile now and i do trust it's lifting i'd rather be safe than sorry.
