I can't speak for the 07 truck besides Joel has pretty much covered eveyting concerning da specs.
I can say I have an 2000 5.3 vortec Silverado 4wd xtenda cab. I pull a 27' camper and an o'cassional horse trailer wit no problem. Mines not an HD and is a 1/2 ton however I slid an 3/4 ton overload spring in the rear. Didn't change the ride and made it more stabil under a load. For what I need it for it is more than adequate. Keep in mind that Indiana ia pretty flat though. But, we camp in some places that that I have noticed the Billy Goats wink at our truck as we drive by...

Put the Pacer in an enlcosed trailer & nobodies gonna know! Besides I like Dodge 4WD trucks. My ol Power Wagon put ta shame many Chebbies in da mud. Not ta mention had the pleassure O pullin dem out...
