Remember ... hell i worked in some of those stations and sold gas at $0.13 a gal and people would pull in and get a dollars worth of gas and you added oil from a can (i think i still have one of those can spouts somewhere)

Cheap gas, service (and I mean full service) with a smile, AND a free giveaway - usually water tumblers or some other gimmicky item.  Those were the days!!

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.

When I was a kid, I can remember better than most of you old guys, we had a Phillips 66 near us in Sothern California. Me and my buddies could get our bicycle tires repaired there.Big%20smile
