Sorry, but if it weren't for Vettes (and maybe a late 60s Camaro), I'd probably not consider GM. The Toyota 4WDs I have had were excellent. Despite that (to further confuse the issue), guess I'd have to say I was a Ford guy at heart. I'll take a Shelby 427 anyday! My 56 F-100 is jealous of my Vette, but they manage to get along side by side.

daily driver is a toyota 243k and still runnin but i just got my sport mirrors for my 76 project 20 bucks each and fantastic shape, also went with tite fit headers but need to do custom fab on exhaust
FORD, except for Vettes. I am a Ford truck man, you can't seem to break them. I had a 86 Bronco 2 with 199,892 miles on it before I totaled it, I would still have it except for the wreck. My wife drives an 06 Toyota Forerunner, I feel it is safe for her. MY Ford is a 99 kingcab 4X4 Ranger, I love it. Gene
It depends on what you mean by "best cars". If you are talking about reliability, in general (no pun intended), I would have to say Toyota. But, for overall "driving experience/enjoyment", I'll go with GM (I love my Tahoe!)

That is a tough call as I am prjudiced for vettes, but Ford, Chevy, Nissan Toyota ( my favorites ) even including Mecedes I've got the highest milage and most carefree miles from the Nissan and Toyota but Corvettes are my one true love.
