During the past two months I've been using the Cruise Control during my commute. I set it at 65mph. I don't think it would be safe to set it at 55. I'd get rear ended fer sure!

What I like to do is; bird-dog someone that is wailing down the road. I was traveling in Florida, heading home (up-north). A Camaro was flying along going at least 90mph. I was tailing him about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile behind. We traveled almost all the way to Georgia like that.  So I'm moving along when the Florida Highway Patrol coming from the opposite direction makes a U-turn behind me...........my heart stopped for a moment.............boom, he flys right by me, gives me an evil "look" and proceeds on to get the Camaro..........wheww! I do this on our turpike also..........it has always worked for me. Gas savings...........NONE.......tickets......NONE.
