Some security systems put out RF signals that may be close to your frequency, also.
Or....maybe its just sooo darn safe around that Kohls, you just don't need to lock your doors.
Yeah, right!

There is something else going on here... That's not a normal state.
The RF stuff that stores use is low power and thereby limited in coverage. Most of them use wireless equipment bought "off-the-shelf" and then use cisco encryption to secure their network. We used a bit higher power stuff in our military freight yards but even they were limited to 250 feet or so.
If microwave shots are affecting car door locks, someone needs to notify somebody, because high power microwaves aren't healthy for human beings. Usually they are up high where people ain't. And that's for a real good reason.
No matter what that's strange...

I have had one where a woman complained about her car stalling in the moring. After much discussion and checking, it was found that the car only stalled at one intersection on her way to work. We took the car there. If the vehicle was within 100 ft of the traffic light control box, when the light turned green in the one direction, the car would die. Everytime. Get away from the box, and it was fine. RFI does funny things.
I had another where every time the woman said Hello on her cell phone, the right front window would go down. The frequency of her phone messed with the body control computer. She could say anything else, anyone else could say hello, and nothing happened. She did have a hands free unit in the car. If the phone was out of the hands free unit, it did not happen. After rerouting the wires, the problem stopped. Now that one can mess with you head.
Ever see under car neon lights messing with ABS and setting wheel speed sensor codes and disabling the system? Yep, several times. Blower motor on high causing a misfire and poor power? Changed the blower motor to cure it.
How about really odd. A police officer I know used to run radar and found every time he opened the door on his AMC cruiser, the door buzzer sounded off and the radar displayed 34 mph. Every time.
Bottom line, this stuff happens. You can do some sheilding, or change frequency, or live with it. Odd yes. Normal, also yes.
