'Never had a fun car until I got my first (and current) Corvette.
However, one noteable old clunker I had back in the day was a totally beat '79 Checker. It had been a NYC Taxi. After I got it for about 300 bucks I just left it bright yellow with the checker stripes that ran around the edges of the roof and along the sides. Now that thing was cool for a broke young guy to careen around in!
Once my buddies and I were out drinking at McSorley's Olde Ale House in Manhattan. (Anyone ever been there?) That's the bar where they threw you out for the following 3 reasons;
1) You were'nt drinking fast enough.
2) You were too drunk.
3) You were broke.
So, before we got too drunk (Yeah, I know. Things were different back then.) I drove around picking up and dropping off people. I made enough cash for us all to finish the night off at MsCorley's.
Ahhh, to be young again!!!

Wish I still had '70 Vette and 914-6 Porsche. Both were awesome rides!
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
Notables that I wish I had owned but ol Dad used them up before me:
66 Hemi Coronet would eat anything on the street. He spend more on tires than food.

68 Cougar Eliminator 428 4 speed, he use to place a $100 bill on the dash and ask you to grab it when he launched the car not very easy
66 Galaxie 500 429 C6 was my Grandmas car, I had the choice between it and a 1914 Savage pump action 22 took the 22 should have shot myself with it for not taking the car.
My notables:
73 Chev 1500 Grande Seirra was first truck and boy did I abuse it. Ended up driving it off a small cliff 20' enough said
74 Ford LTD affectionatley known as the flying boat.
78 Chev Monza Spider 350 4 speed was lots of fun and quite quick. Not to many around any more
04 Supercharged Monte Carlo was fun and confortable could smoke stock 5 litre mustards.
Current rides:
77Chev Pick up restored nice ride
07 Charger Daytona SUblime Green #34 out of 150 in Canada
and of course the baby 80 Vette.
Those were the days and if still owned would be worth a small fortune, the Hemi and Eliminator. Oh well it is like Gunslinger previously said no sense looking to the past when the furture holds endless possibilities.
