It's a shame to see these parts of history go but the world just keeps on changing. It sure would  be nice if things stayed the same for a little while..................

Thanks for the info, Larry.  Many of my family and myself included have worked at the Boeing plant here in Wichita.   It has been here since before WWII.  In fact they made most of the B29 bombers here during that war.  They have been doing mostly modifying and reworking of aircraft here in recent years and now they say they may be closing the plant.  That will put about 2500 people out of work.  We do still have Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna and Learjet here, but it will definitely put a hurt on a lot of people.
