Call me old school, but I have been using Craftsman and Proto about 50+ years, since I worked on my first bicycle or soapbox... do be careful with Sears tho as they now carry a "second line" of tools, and i think they are from "over there". Stick with "Craftsman" if you go with Sears. Unfortunately the individual tools are out of site pricewise. They want to sell you the package deals of course.

My garage is full of the tools you have named above. All of them came from.... flea markets, pawn shops, garage / farm sales etc.
I have purchased some specialty tools that I had to have at that moment.
The beauty of purchasing those tools is I can take them to the trucks and I get the same trade in as the guys who bought it new.
Sometimes the sun shines on a dogs hind end.....

OK here is my two cents................ If you want something to last and is a good quality tool with a life time warranty go with Craftsman or Snap On. If you just need something cheap to get the job done and don't care much about the quality (as said "throw away tools") go with Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. Problem solved.
