This kid at work is always bragging about his car.I forget what it is but I seem to remember it being some kind of eary model talon/eagle thing.Anyway He tells everybody he's got well over 350hp.but it's the way he says it that don't smell right.I asked him, forget the HP figures I want to know just how much TQ that little 4cyc is putting out.Now remember this is a kid in an entery leval postion that was more than likely working at Mcdonalds 6 mos ago.He says 400.I say hp or TQ he says TQ still the same hesition in his voice so it still don't smell right.I'm not into that type of auto at all so know very little about them.Still stock what 190 ft lbs.?How you gonna get 400 out of a street 4 cyc. What do you all think?Thumbs%20UpThumbs%20Down

If you crank up the boost until metal starts flying out of the exhaust, it might be possible  LOL  Seriously though it would need to have quite a bit of modification.

I don't care if it is one of those 400HP "tuners"... if it is a front wheel drive POS, I don,t want it.

4 bangers aren't capable of putting out much torque, unless they're diesels...they just don't have the crank size(stroke) to do it. They don't even put out much HP till they get wound up.
If that turd is pumping 400ft/lbs, the guys got way more money in that engine than brains in his little pea-sized head. Maybe he's confused, and thinks that if it puts out 200ft/lbs, then he can double the figure by multiplying it by the two front wheels...

Ax him at what RPM does he get this awesome 350HP, and 400ft/lbs of mountain moving torque...

He's probably refering to how many lbs the engine weights, not how much lbs torque.  tell him they make great boat anchers
