What do you all think the value of my 73 GMC PU is worth? Owned it since 75.
Or where can I find out?
Its got 24,000 original mile, 2nd owner, all orginal; paint, interior, body, glass. Always in garage. Near mint condition. No dents. No dings. Mint chrome. 350 with 4 speed. Long wheel base. 1/2 ton. Has AC.
Thanks to all of you

See if you can find something close on E-Bay under classic trucks. That will give you a ball park.

My first brand new vehicle was a 1974 Chev. Custom 10 350 auto 2wd with 8 ft bed. Think I paid $4200 at the time. Ran good, rusted bad, but that's New England roads.
1974- Good year- New truck, New wife, Still got the wife.

A P/U in the shape you say yours is in is worth quite a bit to a P/U fan. Very hard to find a older Chevy without rust & low miles. I would guess 15 to 20K & maybe more. Do your research you could be supraised.

Based on the mint condition and originality I would estimate minimum
$12,000 and the top end is what someone is willing to pay. My
experience in classic trucks indicates that most of the time buyers of this
type of vehicle are trying to replace a fond memory. Sentimental value
can increase the price exponentially. This is a truck that I would run
on EBAY. Include plenty of good quality pictures. Set a reserve that is
comfortable for you and give it a try.

If you to have been friends that long it would be a terrible thing to seperate now.
All of the 73's I have known have since departed. Almost all of them died untimely and horrific deaths due to cancer. (Most in their prime of life).
Most likely your next truck you will surely be disappointed in as these new kidz just aren't quite built "Chevy Tuff" as proclaimed.

I believe NADA stands for National Auto Dealers Association. Here's their website: http://www.nadaguides.com/
Try Kelly Blue Book also (http://www.kbb.com/), but they may not go back in time far enough.
Check Hemmings Motor News (http://www.hemmings.com/) or CollectorCarTraderOnline.com for some ideas of what asking prices are.

If you go to NADA, click on "classic cars", then "trucks, vans & SUVs".
