Any advise on wheel dolly's.
Want to push the project car around the garage to work on it. Seen a few makes, are the $100. ones from harbor freight with the cast wheels OK?
Or should I go for the nylon tire models that are twice the price?

Several years back I bought a set of wheel dollies similar to those from Harbor Freight...I never used them.  Why, I don't know.  I loaned them to a friend to use and he asked to buy them, which I did.  He had no complaint with them.

What you might look into  is the aluminum wheel dollies sold by Summit Racing.  They sell them for $89.99 a pair, and a set with upgraded casters run $129.99 for a pair.  It seems like they would do everything you need, and Summit Racing is a very reputable place to deal with.  Not to say Harbor Freight isn't, but for every nice tool they carry, they have two that are junk.  I've bought from them in the past and found you have to be very careful buying their products.  One of their stores in about thirty miles from me and I look at anything I need very carefully before buying.  Don't expect professional grade products from them, but you can find good stuff.

I have the Harbor Freight wheel dollies w/cast wheels. I've used them to position and store my car on them for 6 winters now. If your garage floor is perfectly smooth and no deep grooves, they will work fine. It's a little tough to get the car in motion on these, but once the car is moving they work ok.  I would go for the dollies with the nylon wheels if I had to buy these again.
That's my .02 cents

Thanks Darryl,
I ordered the ones from Summit.
My floor is prettty good but does have a few cracks. I was not sure if the cast wheels on the Harbor Freight model would rust up as the garage is not heated.
