Topic: You make the call! (Interior Light Trouble)
in Forum: General Non-Vette Discussion

Here's some things that I thought may have caused the problem:
- This started immediately after I washed it.
- While I was washing it, my son was playing inside the car.
- The lights seems to come on only when accelerating, but off when decelerating.
- Sometimes, my remote door lock control will not lock the doors, while unlock works fine.
Winner gets bragging rights!

Good Luck!

As I was talking about it with a co-worker today, and I was describing it to him, it just dawned on me that it was probably the rear hatch. Well, at least I'll know right away for next time!

When you accelerate, the rear door "hatch" will open slightly, and the interior lights will come on. Then, when you slow down, momentum will move the door forward(closed), and the lights will go off.
The rear hatch just wasn't closed all the way, so it would move as he drove...enough to open/close the switch for the courtesy lights.
