Someone got a quick answer to what is the normal range of heights between the ground and the frame measured in inches from anywhere under the door on an 82.  

I have an assemble manual but it measure everything in millimeters I’m guessing and the measurements are taken from all sorts of places.

I just want to know what a good range is.  I had the rear & front springs replaced and apparently they are telling me that the car was lowered at that time so they say it is back to factory specs.  I will agree it was really low prior to the spring replacement never measured it as I had no reason to believe it was changed.

The above is for a 75 Corvette. It should be close enough for reference purposes. 

Here's the ground clearance measurements in good old American values, for my '74. I don't know that the trim height measurements changed all that much over the years, but there's prolly some minor differences. The biggest thing is that the measurements are the same from side to side.

Thanks.  Before I purchased the car someone replaced the fiberglass spring with a steel spring.  The car clearance was around 6 inches.  I have more work being done but the other day it was on the ground and it was considerably higher after all of the front end work and a fiberglass spring put back in. 

The alignment guys said it is in spec but it is the trust but verify that I was working on.  A couple of hours ago I was able to check a 74 and it was just short of 9 inches frame to ground.  Just be interested if the 82 was any different.

I went out to the garage and measured 7.125 inches from the ground to the bottom
of the frame just in front of the rear wheel.  I sent you an email with what I found
in my Service Manual.  It said 8.57 inches to the bottom of the trim at the same point.
That looks to be at the top of the bevel where the body meets the frame.  I measured
at that point too and got 8.250 inches to the garage floor. So, my 82 looks to be about
a quarter of an inch low from the spec. That could just be the inflation of the tires.

I am running P225/70R15 100S Firehawk Indy 500 tires inflated to 36 psi.
