My list, in this order today, subject to change tomorrow:
Satisfaction- Stones
Born to Be Wild- Steppenwolf
Whole lot of Love- Led Zepplin
Whipping Post- Allman Bros.
Hush- Deep Purple
Werewolf in London-Warren Z. (RIP)
Boom Boom- Animals
The last 3 could be just about anything from Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, etc.
Something about the blues wailing from the stereo during a midnight ramble just seems right to me.
All the list have some great tunes, just makes it tougher to list just 10.
Thinking about the list (slow day at the office) no-one has mentioned ALICE COOPER
Hummmmmmm
Saw him twice in concert - awesome doesn't do it justice
Met him (Alice) in a Steak House in the Phoenix area, nice enough guy, just looks like he died and his body doesn't know it yet. Great personality and pretty down to earth.
BTW, I've been struggling with my list since Adam posted the question and I can't narrow it to 10.
Damn you Adam...why'd you have to do this ! You're just evil and wanted to see us go insane....

after reading the other peoples choices, i could list way more! id
have to say i like every choice that every one of you posted! I
definately like the "old school" music- most of that music i grew
up on being a child of the seventies. my parents greatly
influenced my choices in music.
i would think i could come up with a top ten for each mood or
emotion.
have to go with an artist list for now. Even THAT is no easy task.
In no order..
ROLLING STONES
ALBERT KING
ALLMAN BROTHERS
ZZ TOP (looks like most of us have that in common)
NICK CAVE
CRAMPS
DAVID ALLAN COE
IGGY POP/STOOGES
ROKY ERICKSON
SEX PISTOLS
But how could I live without TOM WAITS, JOHN LEE HOOKER AND
SCRAMING JAY? Ohm ELMORE JAMES, Hell, I give up. You can have my
iPod when you pry it out of my cold dead hands....
