My lease on a 2001 Pathfinder is up later this year, so I'm starting to consider my choices for my next SUV.
Does anyone have a 2003 SUV they can recommend? Or perhaps a 2002?
I really love the Pathfinder, but one of the things I was looking forward to in my next SUV was a Navigation System. Pathfinder offered it late in 2001, then in 2002, but apparently they have dropped that option in 2003. Don't know why. Anyone have a Navigation System? If so, what is it like?

Adam, I dont know what your budget allows for but the new Cadillac Escalade is a real dreamboat. You may have to get a loan of 2 cents from Glen to even lease it.

Ah, yeah...that's just a little above my budget.

I'm looking more around $30k or less.

Well Adam, sounds like you're not paying what we are out here for fuel, you wouldn't be looking at escalade or suburban if you were! lol Anyhow, just a quick note to tell you that Steve bought a Saturn Vue last week. He did research on all the others, and felt this was the best for him and what he needed it for, driving to work. He was in a Z71 4x4 and going through a tank of fuel a week, and at 2 bucks a gallon, well, put it this way, he'll save 80 bucks a month even with the new payment. lol He absolutely loves it. And it comes with all kinds of goodies if you want them. He didn't get all that, just the killer stereo and sunroof. Put on the "extras" himself. Told the sales guy that when he wants the goodies, he just gets in his Vette! lol He got a really great deal too. 0 % for 3 years, 30 day money back guarantee also. They've really done a good job on this model, simple yet fuctional. Don't know what you want for power, 6 or 8, they don't have 8, the one Steve got was the 6, all wheel drive.
About 25k out the door.

Based on my experience with my parent's cars. Go Toyota for a great value for your dollar.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I had a Durango, and do have a Trailblazer, and Explorer. I really liked the durango, but it didn't like to pass a filling station. So I traded it for a Trailblazer. Lots of room, and 20+ MPG on the highway. That is real good for a 4800# vehicle. My wife really likes her Explorer, and it gets good mileage, too. The Escape by Ford, is a great looking small SUV, and if I were going after a small one, that would be the one. My Trailblazer has the Onstar, if you would want it, but I hardly ever used it. You can use it to communicate with GM reps at any time. They will also tell you where your vehicle is at, if it gets stolen. It is also used as a cellphone, The one I would suggest, is a Ford Explorer, or Chevy Trailblazer. Mine was over $36,000, but you can get them cheaper. Stay with an American SUV. I would say that the Durango was my favorite..... The Trailblazer has 275 HP with a six cylinder engine. Runs pretty good...
