Vette(s): 1977 #s matching Orange L48 4-speed and a 2000 Black FRC 6-speed BOTH SOLD :(
Talk about crazy.  3 million dollars.  I know it's one of a kind, but still.  Some folks are wacked   I'd like to have just the seller's commission on that baby.  Hmmmm, let's see 8% of $3,000,000.  This year's Barrett-Jackson's auction is wild.

Biff,

The same guy bought 3 or 4 cars besides the F-88 including a Hemi-Cuda for $300,000+.  He is buying for a museum in Colorado.  I'm not sure if he is using his own $$$, or if he has to answer to the museum for the 3 mill.

Pretty nutty prices.  Most of the 63-67 Vettes broke 100k.

Found out he was bidding against the Petersen Auto Museum and Jay Leno, who was on the phone.

I just watched a repeat of Sunday's auction.  A restored 1969 LeMans Blue convertible 350/300 4 Spd.  just went for $38,000.

Aside from the hard-top, I was unable to see what options it had.  It did not apear to have A/C.

I saw that one roll too. I didn't get a good look at the interior but it definitely had no A/C. Here's the link to that car...

Concerns me a little when you think of how the C3's might soon become the kind of car you can't leave on the street.
