Along the same lines as the over priced cable tie and visor instructions, heres another item.  I've watched 5 of these 1/8 scale 1978 Corvette Model auctions close at outragous prices.  Any ideas where I might find one a slight bit cheaper?  All I've seen on eBay closed at over 50 bucks.

I've got that one, but it is an 25th Anniversary Edition car, two tone silver. $50 is a great price on 1/8th cars. I have several, including one of the '85, and I think they were all in that price range.

I agree, $50 isn't much to pay for a 1:8 scale model -- that's HUGE!  I've paid upwards of $100 for some of my 1:18 scale cars -- including a '78 Pace Car replica Mark  Big%20smile

Thanks guys, guess thats what I'm gonna have to pay Dead  PSU, ya I've got the 1:18 UT Pace Car also. The reason I want the 1:8 is because thats about the only scale I don't have yet.  I'm up to 10 different Pace Car models, die cast, and others now.

I had one of those years ago that I finished in black with red interior like my 79. GAVE IT AWAY to the handicapped kid next door when we moved. He'd sit in his wheelchair in my driveway and watch me play with the real thing for hours and hours. Always regretted that his parents couldn't be bothered with helping me get him into the Vette for a ride. Paid $29.95 but that was when you could still buy it in the store. $50 nowadays is reasonable.  Mike

I have one of the 1/8 scale in the two-tone Silver Anniversary colors. I bought it off Ebay a couple of years ago. Maybe I was lucky and few others were looking for them at the time, but it was something like $16.

I guess it goes to show timing is everything in Ebay auctions...and that depends if you're a buyer or a seller.

Mark...
Back in 78 or 79 when they first came out, I bought one and also a 63 coupe version. The 63, I painted red, and the 78 I duplicated the Pace Car look. Still have them on my shelf....nnoooooo they are not for sale.
